Welcome to Libra Season, traditionally a calling in to balance and harmony; today we can sense this is needed more poignantly than ever.
So what to do? First unpack our cultural habit of needing to "do" something in order to make it better or resolve it.
We need to Be.
We are invited right now to remember simply how to Be... and to Choose to Be Balanced.
We get to remember that we are conscious vibrational beings, always every moment of every day sending out signals of what we pay attention to and what we want create. We have likely been conditioned away from this way of be-ing and knowing. So it feels a little bit like we are inhabiting a foreign land, at least at first.
This is the "new country", this has the potential to be our new reality, for those of us who feel called toward a similar vibrational path, at least. It is bit of a fork in the road, being careened around by the media and trying to figure out what is actually "true" versus simply choosing to look within. Within is where we ultimately find everything we need and all offer answers. We are simply, right now, being invited to come home to our own internal knowing.
Knowing of what?
That we are at our core vibrational energetic beings. That we are powerful. That we create our reality. That we can and do create even moment of every day.
I mention in the podcast the link between Libra and Egyptian Goddess Ma’at. There's much to be share about Ma’at, I will keep it brief here.
Ma'at is the goddess of truth, justice, divine order, cosmic order and balance. She is depicted with wings of a vulture, her special animal, and the feather of truth in her headdress.
She also carries an ankh, the key of life, and sometimes a scepter. Ma'at can be traced as far back as the Old Kingdom. She is the daughter of Ra, sometimes even referred to as the "eye of Ra." Her equivalent and husband is Thoth, and her opposite is her brother Set. The Goddess Ma'at was most cherished by the rulers of ancient Egypt, and most of them were referred to as "Beloved of Ma'at." Pharaohs would carry an effigy of Ma'at seated as a sign that he represented her regime.
When a person died, their soul was lead by Thoth, god of wisdom, into the Hall of Double Justice, to the presence of Osiris, Lord of the Dead, along with 42 Assessors, or Judges of Ma'at. The heart, which is a person's essence, would be weighed in the Scales of Justice against Ma'at's feather from her headdress. If the person had led a good life the heart would balance against the feather. If the person had committed one or more crimes against the divine rules, then it would weigh heavier and would be eaten by the goddess Ammut, thereby to die the eternal death. Those that balanced would be led by Ma'at to Osiris, and be permitted to join with the celestial goddesses and gods for all eternity. The Declaration of Innocence and the 42 rules, are written in the Book of the Dead. Ma'at ruled over all 3 worlds; even the gods had to obey her rulings.
September 2020 brings with it the invitation of transformation. September the number 9. In numerology the number 9 represents completion, in a cyclical sense; it's about the ending of one cycle and the potential it creates for another cycle to begin. The 9 in Numerology acts as an usher in this process of transition or transformation.
This September also ring with it the massage of larger cycles of completion which have been stirred up in 2020. We have a new moon on the 17th which is the first of three super new moons in a row, followed by a total solar eclipse on December 14 (solar eclipses always happen on new moons). So we're getting the invitation right now with this first super new moon to truly sense what it is that we want to create inner lives and our world.
Transformation is a bit of a double edged sword, we have to let go of something old in order to make space for the new. We must go through some kind of death process in order to be reborn. We are living in the times of transformation, in many ways it is easy to feel the death of old, the shifting of structures, and the need for rebirth. To help us in the process we have Lilith. Lilith is often known as "Black Moon Lilith".
In the words of Dr Bairavee:
"Black Moon Lilith is the lunar (mean) apogee. It at the furthest possible point the Moon could be from the Earth, assuming a regular elliptical orbit.
If we consider the planets at play, we see a point of hypothetical presence on the same plane as a line drawn through the center of the Earth and the Moon, if it was directly behind the Earth. The Moon itself has no light save for what it reflects from the Sun or what is refracted from the Earth’s own atmosphere. It gives no light to the Black Moon."
In my mind Lilith has always represented the aspects of the unknown beyond our 3d world, the darkness that is present encompassing empty space that gives birth to all things new and light. Lilith exists beyond our physical world, and beyond the light that we can see with our physical eyes. In the broadcast I discuss how she has potentially been misrepresented in the past and held in a negative and fearful light.
I share how the stories of her existence may point to her true power, which is ultimately our own true power. In my experience one of Lilith's most powerful messages is that she is us and we are her. Below I share two images that show Lilth. In the image on left she is the female linked to the serpent (kundalini) power in the Garden of Eden. In the image on right she is the unseen feminine energy experienced in the darkness of night coming from beyond the moon.
Right in sync with the intuitive, inward turning, sensitive energy of the Pisces Full Moon we have the reminder of the prophecy of the Elders of Uluru.
First, who are the Elders of Uluru?
To answer this question it is helpful to look at the larger landscape of Aboriginal Australia. The Aboriginal people have been living on and cultivating the lands of what we in the modern world know as Australia since the beginning.
They were here for centuries before European invasion in the 1800s. Across the country there were more than 500 Indigenous nations. Out of the 500 nations estimated to have lived here, there was over 260 distinct language groups and 800 dialects.
In the Uluru region, the local tribe are named the Anangu people. Dating back more than 60,000 years, the Anangu culture has always been a vital part of Central Australian life. Anangu Tjukurpa teach that the landscape was formed as their ancestral beings moved across the barren land.
I discuss in the broadcast about their understanding that Uluru was formed by ancestral beings during "the Dreaming." I also speak of the Prophecy, that relates very much to the times we live in today.
Many believe that the time is coming on December 21 2020 (Winter Solstice for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere & Summer Solstice for the Aboriginal Elders and people in the Southern Hemisphere) for us to send our heart light and love to Uluru. The Prophecy tells us that it is a critical time. The Prophecy states that 200,000 conscious, bright, shining and awake human beings are needed to send their heart light and love to this place on our planet at that time.
Uluru is known by many as one of a handful for sacred and powerful sites on our Earth. Among others are Glastonbury, Mt. Shasta, the Great Pyramid at Giza, and Maui Hawaii. Uluru is often referred to in modern times as the Solar Plexus chakra of our Earth. Regardless of all of this the Anangu people understand that only humans have the capacity needed to send light and love to this sacred place.
As this podcast has always worked across time and space, I got the nudge for us to start to gather together for this purpose during this broadcast. The vision is that by the time December 21st 2020 comes to pass, we will have gathered in numbers beyond 200,000. I hope that you can join us!
Finally! My next online course begins September 9th 2020. It is a course in divination of all kinds, titled "Oracle You". You can find more information and the full curriculum here and by clicking the image below. I hope that you can join me on the journey.
We have strong Mars energies present at the end of August, and this will likely continue through the end of 2020. On August 24, we have the first energetic peak of Mars square Saturn, and we will see two more peaks on September 29th and January 12th.
We can also feel the momentum of Mars Retrograde coming on as the planet is slowing towards coming to a stop. Mars retrograde actually happens on September 9th through November 12th, but we will feel its effects long before and after. I also note in the broadcast the significance of the numbers 9/9 (September 9th) as a theme of completion, resolution, & leadership for transformation.
Finally and powerfully I discuss how the messages and lessons of Mars (which include energetic integrity as well as being aware of how we use our energy) invite us to reconnect to our ancestors and to one of the most ancient yet still surviving cultures on our planet: the Dogon Tribe of Africa. The Dogon are potentially one of the only people who have mangled to stay separate from the "revolution of progress" that is our modern society. As such they hold keys and wisdom for us as we traverse these times of transformation. I discuss the Dogon's knowledge of Sirius in the board cast, but also want to share a but more about their understanding of the creation of humanity. You will find it below.
An old Dogon legend tells of when the God of the universe, Amma, sent the Nommo to earth. This was a half-man, half-amphibian creature which landed in a place northeast of Bandiagara, in the Mopti region; the Nommo was red, but when it touched the ground it became white.
To the right you will see "Mali", a Dogon container. This container shows the "Ark of the world", in which Nommo, the mythical progenitor of humanity, is supposed to have come down from the sky. (source)
The name Nommo derives from a Dogon word that translates as “to do well”; much more often, however, this is remembered as “The Master of Water” (perhaps a reference to the fact that the Nommo could not survive out of water).
From oral tradition, the Dogon confirmed their affiliation with extraterrestrial bodies which visited earth some years ago. According to them, amphibious beings (or mermaids and mermen) from the Sirius system known as Nommos, visited earth. The Nommos lived on a planet that rotated around other stars in the Sirius system.
While we do not yet know exactly how all of this may have unfolded, it is worth noting that other very similar creatures appeared in different cultures - not only geographically distant but also with respect to various historical moments.
In the image to the left we can see that the same type of creature is present in a history of Mesopotamia written during the III Century BC from the priest Beroso; his name was Oannes, his body was similar to that of a fish, he lived only in water, and had feet similar to those of man.
As I mention in the broadcast, take a look at the similarities between the Dogon (Africa) and Anasazi (US) cliff dwellings. Clearly both have been here for a long time and have much wisdom to share.
Here we are in they middle of August. Can you feel the energy increasing? Something's got to shift, and we each have our own version of "what" that is.
In the broadcast for today I briefly unpack Uranus retrograde, the new moon in Leo, as well as well as Mars in Aries squaring Pluto (planet of birth/death/transformation) and conjoining with Eris (goddess of discord and feminine awakening).
I suspect we can all feel the shifts and "hot-points" that are happening. Eris is a goddess whose purposes to make sure that happens when it needs to. It might feel like a dose of tough love, but it's actually way more than that! It is an invitation to step into the unknown, to venture into places, but for the roadblock, we never would have thought of. This is the gift of mid-August.
We are stepping into one of my most favorite times of the year! The Lionsgate happens every year, with energies peaking on August 8th. As with most things relating to celestial bodies, the energies and effects can be felt a weaker so before and after the actual energetic peak.
In the broadcast I discuss the significance of the number 8 as a number of abundance, prosperity and infinite energetic possibilities. Two number eights together create a portal, known as the Lionsgate. This year also have the profound grounding and balancing effect of "2020", which as you can likely sense the year, is a right of passage in and of itself.
2 is a number of partnership and balance, but sometimes it may also be the symbol of opposition or conflict. Ultimately 2 shows us that we are not separate and that everything is connected. Added together 2020 give us 4, which is a number with foundational energies. So in general, 2020 is helping us all to understand that we are all connected and supporting us in releasing the aspects of heaviness and toxicity in our world so that we can truly have a foundation with integrity.
I mention that the double 8 is often written and used in energy healing and energetic work as the "Len So My". Len So My brings in pure love and the highest vibrational energies possible. I have an image of the symbol to the left.
I also mention the role of Sirius in the grand cycle of time, sometimes called "The Great Year", also in sync with the Hindu Yuga Cycle. The grand cycle of time takes 24,000 years, with 12,000 years descending and 12,000 years ascending energies. The closer our sun gets to Sirius, the more and more light and high vibrational energies are able to be received by our planet. The image above shows the 24,000 year cycle and binary orbit of Sirius and our Sun. The image below shows the Hindu Yuga Cycle and The Great Year.
We have three energies converging into now powerful theme at the beginning of August 2020.
August 1st is Lughnasa, or La Lunasa, a Celtic and Wiccan celebration of abundance. Lughnasa is often presided of by Goddess Habundia or Habonde. We meet her in our mediation in today's podcast, and celebrate her in the online gathering August 2nd. (See link below for information to join us or to see the recording).
August 2nd we have Sun square Uranus. which invites us to move beyond our ego and perceived/self created identity into a new and potentially infinitely powerful conception of ourselves as "high technology." High technology is the stead of Uranus, and with Habondia's energies we get to remember that not only are we always connected, but that we have everything we need, and we can attract and create anything we desire. It is merely a matter of remembering our own innate abilities and capacities and energetic beings.
August 3rd we have a full moon in Aquarius. Aquarius is the sign of the future, of moving beyond the commonly held beliefs and ways of "the norm" and potentially stepping onto "weird" or alternative ways of being and understanding so that we can live a brighter and better future. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, so these two together with Habondia are tremendously supportive of our own personal "awakening" to our true nature and innate capacities.
You can find information to join the Lughnasa online gathering here and by clicking the image to the left. If you find this after August 2nd, you can access the recording via these links. Enjoy!
I am thrilled to share with you my recent "rediscovery" of Venus and Aphrodite, as embodiments of the earlier Egyptian Goddess Hathor.
This podcast covers some history about Hathor. Hathor is the Egyptian goddess of joy, pleasure, fertility, and all things feminine. She was one of the most important goddesses in ancient Egypt and popular among royalty and common people alike. Hathor personified the principles of love, beauty, music, dance, motherhood and joy. She was one of the most important and popular deities throughout the history of Ancient Egypt. She was worshiped over several thousand years, from the early years of the ancient Egyptian religion (c. 4000 BC) until its end (c. 500 AD).
"Hathor was the golden goddess who helped women to give birth, the dead to be reborn, and the cosmos to be renewed. This complex deity could function as the mother, consort, and daughter of the creator god. Many lesser goddesses came to be regarded as "names" of Hathor in her contrasting benevolent and destructive aspects. She was most commonly shown as a beautiful woman wearing a red solar disk between a pair of cow's horns."
(Pinch, G. Egyptian Mythology: A Guide to the Gods, Goddesses, and Traditions of Ancient Egypt. Oxford University Press, 2004. Page 137)
To the left is the head of a statue of Hatshepsut, the first woman to rule with the powers of a male Pharaoh. Here Hatshepsut is wearing the horns of Hathor and the sun disc atop her mortar crown. This is all we have left of a bronze statue of the extraordinary queen-king of Dynasty 18. It is the exquisite femininity of this sculpture that makes it so exceptional. Sometimes, but extremely rarely, Queen Hatshepsut was portrayed not only with the fine facial features of a woman, but as a woman as we see here. It is wonderful to remember that this female Pharaoh was known to worship the Goddess Hathor and sought to embody Hathors energies.
Below is Hatshepsut's temple at Dier el-Bahri:
Below are images of Hathor on the columns at Dier el-Bahri:
Finally a video recording from the first Goddess Gathering. There is still time to join us on the journey! More information about the course can be found here.
Welcome to Chiron retrograde. This podcast explores the deeper aspects of the myth of Chiron, his amnesia of abandonment, his wound and life time seeking of a cure. I also love (spoiler alert) that ultimately he heals himself by transcending his ego and separation and taking selfless action.
Transcending ego and taking action are definitely in the air. These energies will likely continue for a while, as Chiron is retrograde through December 15, 2020.
As the "wounded healer" Chiron supports us in reexamining our wounds, ultimately healing them as we move away from the illusion of separation and into the reality of oneness and wholeness, both within ourselves and with our world.
We have with us, literally coming down from the heavens the "apus".. these are the primordial and powerful earth mountain spirits from Peru. They are typically (at least in our Western culture) felt in Machu Picchu.
In Inca mythology, apu was the name given to powerful mountain spirits. The Incas also used apu to refer to the sacred mountains themselves; each mountain had its own spirit, with the spirit going by the name of its mountain domain.
Inca mythology worked within three realms: Hanan Pacha (the upper realm), Kay Pacha (the human realm), and Uku Pacha (the inner world, or underworld). Mountains—rising up from the human world toward Hanan Pacha—offered the Incas a connection with their most powerful gods in the heavens.
The apu mountain spirits also served as protectors, watching over their surrounding territories and protecting nearby Inca inhabitants as well as their livestock and crops. In times of trouble, the apus were appeased or called upon through offerings. It's believed they predated people in the Andes regions and that they are constant guardians of those who inhabit this area.
Also, the Goddess Course is launching. There is a window to join us through July 2020. Out first gathering is July 19. Regardless of whether you do, I felt called to share with everyone some of the content from the course, as I feel it is quite relevant to the deconstruction and reconstruction that we are all collectively experiencing.
You can find two readings/excerpts below that offer an alternative view of the feminine principle; specifically as the central organizing principle. Enjoy and share these readings! I believe they are powerful medicine for our transformational times.
Welcome to the close of a quite intense eclipse cycle that began May 25 this year. That's just 4-5 weeks ago, and we will have experiences three (which is rare) eclipses in such a short time, just over 1 month = intense.
This final eclipse in Capricorn completes a larger Cancer-Capricorn eclipse cycle that began in July 2018. Cancer and Capricorn have an interesting dance, energetically that both opens us emotionally and calls us to take measured steps for the overall structuring of our world. In the past months we've each likely been emotionally impacted in some way, also we can feel the foundations shaking a bit. This combination of energies has been associated with impact and country/ world changing events. I discuss this in the podcast above.
For now,, it is potentially worthwhile not only to look back to events around May 25th this year 2020 but also to event in July 2018 for signs and signals of 'themes' .. for change.. to consider what was feeling like it needed to be shifted. We are meeting these enrages once again.
Hopefully with new eyes. Which brings me to the overarching theme of the podcast: Seeing WIth New Eyes. Yes. Our eyes see our world, but we are also energetic beings, able to intuit and feel the energies of our surroundings. We are being invited, we are being called to step up and into seeing clearly. Clear Vision. A vision that is not clouded by fear or hate or media. A vision that knows and feels 'truth', and responds only to the truth.
As I mention in the podcast, this ability to sense the energy of what we perceive is actually simply another sense. This is what many have termed the 'Sixth Sense'. Much like touch, taste or smell, we are wired for it. We are now being invited to strengthen that 'muscle'. As just like any muscle in our bodies, if sensing and reading energy is atrophied, it needs tone strengthened. This is how we will navigate the next years of our future towards betterment and rebalancing.
First, I invite you to enjoy the podcast above where we gather together as a community of light. Also, please share this with those whom you might feel would benefit!
Second, we will gather live to hold space for the closing of these cycles on July 5th. Not only the closing of the Eclipse season of 2020 which began on May 25th, but also to take a larger view of the Cancer-Capricorn cycle that began July 2018.
Simply sign up to be included in weekly emails and you will get the information to join us at 10am PST July 5th. Join the email list on this page.
In the interim between this post and the eclipse, we recently had an amazing day long gathering to celebrate summer solstice. You can find the recordings and information for the day-long retreat here.
All of these events are intended as an offering. Donations as you feel will go to the newly formed 501c3 nonprofit organization Seeding Reciprocity.
