November 19 we have not only a full moon, but a lunar eclipse in the sign of Taurus. This eclipse officially kicks off eclipse season as well as the scorpio/taurus eclipse axis that will be with us through the end of 2023. That's an indication of the power of this season and the truly transformational times we live in!
I discuss in the podcast above the astrological and planetary aspects that are brewing in the heavens to deliver us just the right dose of hidden truths about the world we experience and our power to manifest. ![]()
In the vein of hidden truths, we meet at this eclipse with Goddess Ngame of the Akan people of Western Africa. The Name of Ngame translates as "Shining One".
She is a moon goddess, primordial in the sense that she created the heavenly bodies as well as brought life and soul into every living thing with her moon beams. She was believed to have a new moon bow from which she shot (like arrows) beams of lunar light and life into all creatures. This is what turned them from inert beings into living breathing, should carrying creatures. Without her, there is no life. She was also believed to give brith the the Sun every morning. Robert Graves write of her in his book “The Greek Myths” saying that she is connected to Prometheus as fire-bearer ... he also write of her in “The White Goddess” as not only as a Goddess of life but also as a Patroness of Creative Inspiration, and that the Moon Goddess in many cultures often operates as a muse.

We have on November 4th a powerful new moon in Scorpio. Not only is the new moon itself quite potent, as the gateway into our next eclipse season, but the days before and after have powerful aspects. I mention several of these in the broadcast but wanted to outline two of them here as well.
November 2nd Venus aligns with Galactic Center November 7th Juno and Luna align with Galactic Center The Galactic Center is the center of our galaxy. If we consider that every planet and asteroid that affects us astrologically rotates around this As such it holds codes and keys to our souls journey in this lifetime. The Galactic Center is said to be the Central Sun to our Sun. In the same way that our Sun provides life force energy to us, the Galactic Center, as a Central Sun provides this life force energy to our Sun. To quote Phlip Sedgwick: "The Galactic Center acts like a satellite dish, directing divinely inspired information straight to the potentially receptive gray matter of our brains. If you believe in God, this might be the voice you hear. Regardless, within this connection you have the ability to pull down wild information which you would otherwise have no way of knowing." Let's combine this with Venus ~ encouraging us to deeply and profoundly LOVE ourselves. as well as Juno + Luna ~ supporting us in being soulfully brave and deeply loving towards everyone and everything we encounter. ![]()
It is from this vantage point that we meet and entertain Goddess Juno. She is the most highly revered and centrally held goddess to the Roman Empire. If you've had the chance to listen to past podcasts you will know that I often look to the Greco-Roman Empires for "clues" for powerful avatars of older eras. As both Greek and Roman cultures conquered more pastoral and earth based cultures such as the Celts, Essenes, and Druids.
From this perspective we catch a glimpse of an age-old goddess, much more broad and ubiquitous than her multifold separate and confusing myths from the Roman empire. I offer here that she IS our HEART. That she is intrinsically connected to the most powerful aspect of ourselves, the energetic portal of our heart. |
