Lilith and Juno make an appearance as they trine and sextile the moon and sun, making for fortuitous opportunities for us to re-boot (as that is what eclipse typically offer) and reembody divine feminine harmoniously. While I take us through their myths and offer a possible revisioning in the podcast, I wanted to take space here in the blog post to highlight the notion that we may not know, or we may need to use our own inner vision and understandings for what their message and story truly is.
I mention that Lilith was written about in Jewish foklore legends as a women who upon fleeing the garden of Eden after being raped by Adam, copulated with demons. This is just one of many older writings we can find about her today; she is written about Babylonian texts, where she is depicted as a winged demon. These understandings subsequently spread from Babylonia to different cultures in ancient Anatolia, Syria, Greece, Egypt and Israel. Thus, it is not just a "Jewish" understanding, hardly at all. The fact that she's not even mentioned in the modern bible is also pointing us to a deeper truth about the convenience of taking away the power of powerful women by demonizing them. The story of Juno and Hera has a similar thread to it, although Juno/Hera end up taking out all of their frustrations for an unhealthy marriage on others by being angry, crazy, spiteful, wrathful, and mean. I find it interesting that as we are on this journey to reharmonize the masculine and feminine with each of us, in order to restore it in the collective, that these two are activated during this eclipse. I offer that this is a communication of sorts, a reminder to us of where we've been as well as a reminder to us that we are creating our future today! This lunar eclipse is exceptionally intense as it not only comes two weeks after the Ring of Fire Solar Eclipse, but it touches one last time on the Scorpio/Taurus eclipse axis. The Sun in Scorpio invites us to look within for what may be beneath the surface as our own inner truths, while Luna in Taurus reminds us that we need to cultivate a deeper sense of grounding, and personal empowerment. The alignment with Lilith and Juno highlight the need for releasing old versions of feminine power lurking in the collective consciousness. This full moon has the opportunity to illuminate for us how we are subconsciously running old/outdated programming that was put into the collective as a mechanism for domination over the divine feminine.

With this Solar Eclipse, we arrive in the first half of what I would offer as the most powerful eclipse sequence to appear in this lifetime (the past 200 yrs). With it, we are being ushered into a new era.
Depending on how you look at the world you might feel like you're being forced and things are being torn apart... or you might feel like you've just come through some big challenge only to be met with another challenge .. that you somehow already know you can move through ...you might also feel like you are being offered opportunities for higher vibrations. Eclipses are known for their transformational, beyond linear time and space, realizations and occurrences. That could be a serendipitous occurrence, the ability to see things in a totally different way, a complete or sudden shift of work life circumstances, or a dream that catalyzes a realization. Not only are we in an eclipse season through October and November, but we are in a new series of eclipse seasons with the Nodal Axis Shift, and we are in a season that Pluto is making a grand appearance in. Let's break the latter two down a bit more. The Nodal Axis Shift happened on 7/25/23, when we moved out of the Taurus/Scorpio axis and into the Aries/Libra axis. One overarching theme around this energetic shift is that we were encouraged and supported in the last 1-2 years to have realizations about our connection to earth with the North Node in Taurus as well as to see the secrets that have been hidden, both about dark and light as it relates to earth with South Node in Scorpio. The shift signals that it is time to take those realizations, and with North Node now in Aries, to act on them.. to claim our personal power. With South Node now in Libra, we are supported in seeing how the old ways of "balancing" are sometimes systems of control. This Nodal Axis shift supports us in becoming truly empowered. This is the first eclipse in this Aries/Libra Axis sequence, so we will likely be seeing some themes and things that are up for remembering, release, revisions, as well as renewal. As I mention in the podcast, eclipses work across time and space, so the linear timelines and confines of our currently co-created reality are able to be instantly overwritten. If overwritten seems like a strong word, it might be better to say things will highlighted for personal realization :) This segues us into Pluto's strong activity during this eclipse. Not only has Pluto been squaring the Nodes from March through November this year, but it is ushering us through an epic dance of death and rebirth as it changes signs from Capricorn to Aquarius. Pluto is not only squaring the North and South Nodes that are activated during this eclipse.. as it is also stationing direct as it comes out of retrograde. stationing means we will feel A LOT of Plutonic energy. With its connection to Spica and Arcturus, Pluto also ushering in an intuitive and harmonious balance of divine masculine and feminine energies into each of us. I called this podcast Libra Solar Eclipse: Cosmic Justice, as it felt like such and beautiful convergence of Pluto, Libra, and Eclipse energies. May we live long happy lives to fully experience the new world we are creating!! |
