We have a new moon in Virgo on August 27 which we can likely feel coming well before the date! This is because this new moon has some powerful squaring action happening in the cosmos.

​We not only have the Sun and Moon in Virgo square Mars in Gemini, but we have potent T-square which involves Saturn in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus, which have both been ongoing through this year and will likely resolve at the end of 2022 and early 2023. The T-square involves Venus in Leo squaring both Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus.

Squares often present challenges, that once overcome offer lighter energies of love, but the challenge IS simply to continue on when we feel challenged! The overarching message from this new moon is to be vigilant about how we are running our energy, both in what we say as well as what we think and how we vibrate. We have three energetic, astrological and astronomical events converging around the beginning of August. The first is the Lion's Gate, while the Lion's Gate is actually from the latter part of the July into until mid/late August, many see August 8th as the peak of this portal's energy. We also have a Super Full Moon in Aquarius, the fourth Super Moon in a row! This Super Full Moon is taking place in sync with a Fixed Grand Cross which is bringing us deeper realizations about things that we are ready to release and simultaneously grounding us down with tenacious and empowering energies.

I also mention the binary relationship between Sirius A and Sirius B as well as our Sun and Sirius A. The image at right gives us a better understanding of how Sirius A, the brightest start in our night sky, shares a gravitational orbit with Sirius B, a star which was only discovered by scientists in the 1970's, yet known by the Dogon tribe of Mali, West Africa, to be in existence thousands of years ago.
