Welcome to the new moon in Taurus and partial solar eclipse! While this event takes place on April 30, 2022, we will likely feel the effects a week before and 6 months after. Eclipses are not only powerful times of realization, they have the potential "portals". By portal I mean a non-linear experience that can feel like massive acceleration, or profound realization. This eclipse in particular is on the tipping point of our own realizations for not only how powerful we are as creators, but also of what's possible for us to heal and experience intros lifetime.
I discuss in the podcast above the astrological aspects that are supercharging this eclipse: Pluto retrograde, sun, moon, Uranus conjunction as well as north node conjunction. I also mention the significance of eclipses in this year, 2022, as a tipping point that can move us in a nonlinear way towards the age of Aquarius. In ancient times those in charge of what we now term astrology were either fired, punished or killed if they got the dates of the eclipses wrong. Who knew? This is an indicator that our ancestors understood the power of these occurrences. They sought to harness their energy as well as gather new information from the cosmos. Knowing the date and time of the eclipse was the job of something equivalent of a high priest or scientist. As it took a fair amount of training (without computers) to tune into these cosmic cycles. We are fortunate today to have tools and computers to help us with these "divinations" we are also encouraged during this eclipse to step away from our understanding of the world as we know it. In this podcast I offer that there are higher dimensions co-existing with us already on this planet. One way of beginning to understand higher dimensions and levels of consciousness is to consider that life exists deep within the earth. While there are many theories and names for those theories of what the inner earth looks like, I want to offer the Buddhist notion of Shambhala as an entry point to our understanding. The images below are depictions of the worlds that exist both within the earth and on higher planes of consciousness. (note: this are my words, as I interpret these images). Shambhala is both a modern Tibetan Buddhists based out of Colorado, as well as a mythical kingdom written about in ancient Tibetan texts, I am referring to the latter which you can see depicted in ancient images below.
Shambala is a Sanskrit word that means a “place of peace” or a “place of silence.” It is mentioned in Buddhist and Hindu texts. In Buddhism, it is specifically mentioned in the Kalachakra Tantra as a unique place that exists within our own planet. “Shambala is a kingdom where humanity’s wisdom is spared from the destructions and corruptions of time and history, ready to save the world in its hour of need,” a commentary of the Kalachakra Tantra states (Collective Evolution).
The Bon scriptures speak of a closely related land called Tagzig Olmo Lung Ring. The Sanskrit name is taken from the name of a city mentioned in the Hindu Puranas. The mythological relevance of the place originates with a prophecy in Vishnu Purana (4.24) according to which Shambhala will be:
