Gemini New Moon: Goddess Cordelia

Welcome to the soul conjuring, energetically soothing and soul connecting energies of the Gemini new moon on May 30 2022. 

We have a host of astrological and numerological aspects sustaining us which I discuss in the podcast above. The overarching theme is that we are fully supported in remembering what our soul's journey truly is and expressing that message out into the world!

I link these aspects with both the animal totem/messenger hummingbird as well as Goddess Cordelia. First, Goddess Cordelia. Most commonly known as a British/Celtic goddess she is associated with spring. She is said to be queen of or linked with the Fay/fairies/gnomes. She is also associated with sacred healing waters and wells as well as the month of May and the time of blooming flowers. Her followers used flowers to call in her energies and generally acknowledged her in the bright blooming energy of spring.

The Mayan people believed hummingbirds were magical, sacred creatures. They have a legend which shares about the creation of the hummingbird. It was said the Hummers were sculpted from the left-over feathers used in the creation of other birds. The gods were so in love with the hummingbirds, they put on a great celebration where all the other animals were invited to honor the hummingbird in it's bright beauty and wit.

Hummingbirds were thought to be messengers between humans and the gods. The Pueblo Natives believed hummingbirds delivered their messages of praise and requests to Mother Earth for the shamans.

The Cherokee have a legend that involved the hummingbird. The legend is that the hummingbird used it's speed and swiftness to grab a piece of the world's first tobacco plant in order to help heal a female elder in their tribe.
