Numbers are a language in and of themselves. It might be more convenient or natural for some to think of numbers as symbols, but either way, most of us can wrap our minds around numbers being representations of something "more" than just what we see when we read "1" or "0".
I found myself looking into numerology when I began to notice patters on numbers in my day, whether it was the time of day, total amount due at Trader Joe's, or the digits of a friend's phone number.. I started to see patterns and became curious as to what they might mean, if anything. That was just the beginning to an ever expanding understanding of numbers! I'm still only learning, but want to start to share what I have come to find meaningful, so that anyone who is drawn to the information might step onto this path with me.
Let's begin with something that is relevant for us all. We recently started a new year, 2017. 2017 is in numerology the equivalent to the number "1". Which is the number for new beginnings and expansions on currently budding projects, ideas, experiences and relationships. Because everyone is currently experiencing the year 2017, we will all be affected in some way whether we are conscious of it or not, by the number 1. The more awareness we have around what is happening, the more information we are able to receive. So, if you're tuned into the meaning of the year 2017 as a number 1 of new beginnings, growth, and things coming into bloom, you'll likely see more evidence of the number 1.
To set us out on the experience of a year as a number, lets take a brief look back at 2016, which was a year number "9". In numerology, the number 9 signifies closure, endings, clearing things away to begin to make room for the new. Were there any events that brought closure for you in 2016? What might be the new beginnings that are beginning to unfold in 2017?
Keep in mind these timings often appear with slight blurring of the lines, because closure and new beginnings don't always happen in one day. There are certainly significant events around these types of changes, but there also might be some closures which began in 2016 finishing up right now, and there may have been some seeds for new beginnings in 2016 that are starting to sprout up from the soil this week :)
With love for a beautiful new year,
